2013 Weekly Photo Challenge

I’m trying to be more active on my blog, so I’ve set myself a little challenge.  Well I’m saying little; due to my lack of spare time it could turn out to be a big challenge, but here goes.

I currently have nearly 50 posts to complete so watch this space for these 🙂 However in the meantime, to keep my creative juices flowing,I’m aiming to take at least one photo a day and write a blog post once a week on my shots.

Now due to work and life commitments I will be using my new iPhone 5 for the majority of the shots as it’s not always possible to carry my SLR around with me, but any camera is better than no camera :-).  I’ve downloaded an app called ‘Collect’.  It’s a great little app which prompts you on a daily basis as to whether you’ve taken a photo today, and records them on a calendar.  It’s a fantastic way to look back on what images you took that day.

I will be experimenting with other apps such as ‘Snapseed’,’Vintique’ and ‘Simply B&W’.  Some may work, some may not, but it’s all about trying out new techniques and processes.

So here goes, I only started this on 30th January so not a full week this post.  I hope you enjoy this fun journey with me.

This was the view from my house, the passing rain storm had left a rainbow

This was the view from my office window. I loved the clouds, looked like they were spray painted.

Athboy is close to where I live.  A lovely village that is sadly suffering from the recession.

    • Thanks Val, it’s a great little app, at least there is no chance I will forget to take a photo everyday, you ought to give it a go :-). Snapseed is a great way to get the best from your pics on the phone, so easy to use.

  3. The photo of Ilkley is splendid. He/she’s eyes are talking to you. Expressive and beautiful green eyes.
