In response to this weeks challenge by “Lensandpensbysally”, macro photography with a Non-SLR digital device; I have used my iPhone to take the following shot. I don’t have any additional lenses for my iPhone so this was the closest I could get without loosing focus.
I used Snapseed to add the frame and make minor adjustments to exposure.
This rose is part of a bouquet that my husband bought for me the other day. I hate the whole concept of Valentines Day so I get surprised with flowers randomly throughout the year 🙂 They mean so much more to me because I know he bought them because he wants to, and not because he feels he has to.
Thankyou for spending the time to read my post, have a wonderful day and please come back soon.

Welcome, I’m delighted to have you participate in the challenge. Your post processing gives the rose a vintage appeal. Also the composition pulls the viewer into the center. Nicely done. Happy Photo Challenge.
Thanks Sally, I really enjoyed the challenge. I take so many photos on my iPhone it’s great to be finally doing something with them 🙂 I’ll definitely be participating more often.
Terrific.

Claire this is so beaiutiful. Looks like it was taken a long time ago. This you should frame and put it on a table or desk.
Awww thanks Yvonne. I’m in agreement with you, I need to print more of my images, they spend too much time stuck in cyberspace.
Claire, welcome to the fun. I’m glad you found us. Random gifts of flowers are always wonderful and you captured a beautiful one above. I like the editing as well.
